EXPLORING CHAPPAR RIFT AND ZARDALO

Chappar rift was constructed during the British era and it is more than a century. Today's blog is about a visit to Chappar rift. Chappar rift is in Balochistan the entire area also called Zardalo, Chappar rift is a hidden treasure of the British railway and if speaking truth. I even don't know about it some time back engineers feel proud of this chappar rift their emotions were correct because when the railway was introduced here so people come here to see if there was a mountain in between this railway line which was naturally in two pieces the tunnel can be introduced here and the easiest solution was to dig a tunnel on both sides which were three kilometers long the gap in between was filled by 20 pillars and the work was completed in 75 days when the train passed here the scene was such that the train passed through high pillars and enter into the next mountain to construct a bridge it was not possible to come here so the solution by engineers was iron rods was attached in mountains laborers tied with ropes used to come down and then holes were done inside the mountain and the gap was removed special seats were placed in front of the railway.

Chappar Rift Old Railway Track

Engineers used to visit this place princess of whales on special train visited this place and at that time it was considered as a wonder of the world but then 11 July 1942 came when a  heavy storm came and everything blows away Sindh - pushing railway was closed forever the project of Qandahar railway station was also closed and at the same time world war two started iron was needed and everything was taken from here from that day till now, the train has never passed here but usually, tourists use to come here at that time engineers might have known that chappar rift will not survive so railway line was started in another way and these both lines meet at Boston where today Boston railway station is situated.

Rift Old Tunnel

Now we came here for a short hike trip and the railway track was build here we walk inside these railway tunnels and show you the whole view the distance will be 2 or 1.5 kilometers and in the last where the two mountains were cut and the bridge was constructed there, we will walk at that point and show you the whole view be a careful look at these tunnels.
